The Team Dolly Bracelet

Several of you have asked about the Team Dolly Bracelet on www.justicepapers.com.  "Team Dolly" is a support group for 3-year old Madelyn and her family as they win their battle with leukemia.  Madelyn's father was a high school friend of mine and I promise the funds raised here are going directly to help this gorgeous little girl and her family.  Bracelets are $2 and come in three (3) sizes. (You're welcome to contact me if you'd like to make a donation in a different amount to Madelyn's family.  I will put you in touch with the right people.) This is a good cause and I'm asking for your support for this family, whether it be buying a bracelet, or just saying a prayer.

An early reminder: Valentine's Day is Coming Soon.

To my favorite people in the world... the ones who are like me and have so much to do that they will almost forget.  Mark your calanders now.  Valentines day comes but once a year, and there is very likely someone out there who will be hoping you won't forget.

It's funny, for people who love to write, some very simple things are the best things. Writing has always been a part of my make-up.  I  would be absurdly and completely lost without pen and paper.  There are thoughts, ideas, memories that scream "write me down!" 

I am one of those people who actually wake in the middle of the night and reach for the pad on my nightstand and the pen that's never out of place.  I know I will never remember whatever it is in the morning if I don't.  (The great thing is that sometimes -just sometimes- whatever I wrote was actually purposeful and coherent.) 

These things are why, when my baby sister said, "I have an idea," -which was me selling paper- I did not laugh or even really think.  I just said, "of course." 

Some things come naturally.  I love to write and I love good paper. I love the way good paper feels under a good pen.  I love the way ink looks fresh from a fountain pen and the smudge of soft, dark pencil lead against a heavy bond.

So now I'm selling paper.  Surprise.  I hope you enjoy it.  It really is quality stuff. A small thing... but if you love good paper...
