Sevierville, TN (February 1) – Business professionals in Sevier County will soon have the opportunity to attend a seminar featuring two nationally known guest speakers who specialize in business consulting and coaching.
The Sevier Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) and the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce would like to announce The Polished Professional, an essential seminar for professionals seeking employment or career advancement and for companies who want employees to reflect a certain standard of excellence. This is the second year the groups have sponsored the seminar. Last year’s was a big success.
The 2011 seminar will feature Excelling at Change without a Roadmap by Laura Barron, B.S., M.B.A., president of The Barron Group, a Tennessee-based consulting firm founded in 1994 that specializes in helping companies implement change, develop their leaders and managers and increase customer loyalty. She works with companies who want to improve their employee productivity and build stronger customer relationships, and with managers who want their employees to take initiative and solve problems.
Laura has held key managerial positions in one of the country's largest utilities, including customer service, training and development, project management, travel services and commercial interior design. Clients find Laura’s high energy and "real world" approach both engaging and immediately usable by their managers and employees. Her 25 years of business experience enables her to apply first-hand knowledge and skills in meeting her client's needs. Her effectiveness stems from her belief in people, as well as from customizing program to meet client's specific needs.
Laura has a B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee. She is a member of the National Speakers Association. The American Business Women’s Association selected her as the 1990 National Business Woman of the Year.
Also featured will be Solving Customer Problems without Conflict by Rhonda Jones Sparks, founder & president of RJS Leadership Coaching. Rhonda is a Certified Leadership Coach, consultant, facilitator and trainer to for-profit, non-profit, academic, municipal, church and faith based organizations that specializes in Strategic Organizational Development, Leadership Development & Coaching, Performance Management and key aspects of Executive, Management, Team and Personal Effectiveness. Rhonda has three decades of experience in leading and maximizing the potential of organizations and individuals, including twenty-five years in leadership with a global Fortune 500 corporation.
Rhonda is a motivational speaker and the author of Teaching Common Sense: Seven Simple Principles for Nurturing Those around You and Reaping the Harvest of Your Life, co-author of Amazing Faith, and she was featured in the Special 10th Edition of Mission Possible from Insight Publishing.
